Hina Khan wins Best Actress for Lines at Montgomery International Film Festival 2020

Adding another achievement to her list, Hina Khan has won yet another award that too, on an international level. The actress gained International recognition for the best actress award for her film, Lines at the Montgomery International Film Festival in USA. Hina Khan shared the news on her social media.

WHAT DID HINA KHAN POST?

Hina Khan took to her Instagram account and shared a picture of the certificate she received for her performance. She also shared a few stills from the movie wearing ethnic clothes.

Hina Khan captioned her post, “This month I complete 12 years in the industry and I couldn’t be more proud of myself as my film LINES, is getting an overwhelming response overseas and has added another reason for the celebration. I am so thrilled and excited to share a token of appreciation received at the prestigious Montgomery International Film Festival, USA as Best Actress (Feature Film) (sic).”

The film was also nominated in the best picture category at the MIFF awards.

LINES FIRST POSTER

Last year, Hina Khan had shared the first poster of Lines and also talked about her character Nazia. Sharing the poster on Instagram, she wrote, “Emotions don’t change because of the borders in between. The life and plight of #Nazia is a simple portrayal of any girl who faces the magnitude of ordinary challenges in a not so ordinary story. Lines is my debut in films. I hope you all love it as much we loved it. This is the first look launched at Cannes film Festival and an official poster, which depicts more than a poster can (sic)!”

ABOUT LINES

Lines was produced by Rahat Kazmi Films and co-produced under Hina and Rocky Jaiswal’s production venture Hiros Faar Better Films. The film’s poster was unveiled at the Cannes film festival in 2019, marking Hina’s big red carpet debut. It was directed by Hussain Khan and also starred Farida Jalal in the lead role. Lines was written by Rahat Kazmi and Shakti Singh and was shot in Kashmir.
