Popular TV star Pugazh to share screen space with Ajith in Valimai

Popular television star Pugazh is all set to share screen space with Thala Ajith’s Valimai. The film, directed by H Vinoth, went on floors in December 2019. However, like the rest of the films, the shoot was put on hold due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Last month, the team resumed the shoot at Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. A couple of pictures from the sets of Valimai made their way to the internet revealing the actor’s look and it became the talk of the town.

PUGAZH IN AJITH’S VALIMAI

According to the latest reports, popular comedian Pugazh, who shot to fame with the television show, Cooku with Comali, has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. The actor has already shot for his portions and in fact, will be sharing screen space with Ajith in a couple of scenes.

When IndiaToday.in contacted Valimai team to confirm the news, a source close to Ajith said, “Pugazh is very much a part of Valimai. It’s too early to reveal any further details about his character. An official announcement will be made soon.”

The shooting of Valimai is currently progressing at a brisk pace at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Ahead of the New Year, a photo from the sets of the film was leaked on the internet. In the viral pic, Ajith can be seen posing for a family photograph.

Ajith will play an IPS officer in the film and his character has been named Eshwaramoorthy. The makers are planning to complete the film by early this year. They have already completed 80 per cent of the film.

VALIMAI IS AN ACTION THRILLER

Tipped to be an action-thriller, Ajith will be seen sporting two different looks and his character will have different shades. Huma Qureshi, who made her debut in Tamil cinema with Rajinikanth’s Kaala, will be sharing the screen space with Ajith. Produced by Boney Kapoor, Valimai also marks the actor’s second collaboration with H Vinoth.

The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Nirav Shah and composer Yuvan Shankar Raja.
