Mumbai, : Traveling on waiting tickets in long distance trains has stopped. As a result of which passengers going from Mumbai to North India are facing huge problems. Regarding this matter, BJP leader Shubhranshu Dixit met Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav on Monday and submitted a memorandum to him. Shri Vaishnav assured the BJP leader that additional sleeper coaches and AC coaches will be added in Godan Express and Mahanagari Express trains going towards North India in the coming days so that passengers do not have to face problems. Along with Dixit, Mumbai BJP general secretary Sanjay Upadhyay, BJP leaders Santosh Pandey, Rajesh Rastogi and Mani Walan were also present.
BJP leader Shubhranshu Dixit said that the Union Railway Minister listened to our demand attentively and assured us that soon additional coaches will be added to Godan Express and Mahanagari Express.
In this memo, BJP has written, “Most of the North Indians have been living in Mumbai for many years. During the summer holidays and Diwali holidays, most of the North Indians go to their villages. In this way, people get waiting tickets and reserved sleepers. Passengers are not allowed to travel in sleeper and AC coaches for the last two months The journey has become easier. In view of this, I want to draw attention to some issues. So that the waiting list ticket holders can also get confirmed tickets in one day For example, Godan Express departs from Mumbai at 10.55 a.m., so that the problem of waiting tickets can be reduced in some trains The number of sleeper coaches and AC coaches should be increased. So that passengers staying in Mumbai do not have to face hardships.”
